A Brief History of ISBA Mutual Insurance Company
At ISBA Mutual Insurance Company, we specialize in serving Illinois lawyers with a commitment deeply rooted in the legal community. Founded in 1988 by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), our organization is created and led by lawyers and exclusively serves Illinois lawyers.
Unlike conventional insurance companies, we are not beholden to agents or stockholders; our sole commitment is to our policyholders. This unique position allows us to focus on providing reasonable rates, exceptional client service, valuable legal education, and even MCLE credits.
ISBA Mutual was formed to provide professional liability insurance to Illinois lawyers at fair, stable premiums and with robust coverage explicitly tailored to the unique needs of Illinois law firms.
