Jon DeMoss has been President and Chief Executive Officer of ISBA Mutual Insurance Company since 1994. Formerly, Mr. DeMoss served as President of the Illinois State Bar Association (1984-1985) and also as its Executive Director, from 1986 until 1994. Mr. DeMoss is a former President of the National Association of Bar Related Insurance Companies and serves on the Board of Directors of The Lawyers Reinsurance Company. Additionally, he is Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the John Marshall Law School. Mr. DeMoss is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and the University of Illinois College of Law.

Theresa Rodgers has been with ISBA Mutual Insurance Company since 1995. As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, she oversees all the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting functions for the company. Before coming to ISBA Mutual, Ms. Rodgers acquired a broad accounting background which includes industrial as well as service related industries. Ms. Rodgers received her B.A. from Northland College. She is a CPA and is a member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society.

Melissa Kaplan has been a vice president at ISBA Mutual since 2000. As Vice President of Claims and Underwriting she oversees the underwriting and claim operations at ISBA Mutual. She has over 25 years of professional liability insurance experience.  Prior to joining ISBA Mutual, Ms. Kaplan was the Assistant Director of a national professional liability program after having managed a professional liability program in the Midwest. Melissa Kaplan is a graduate of the John Marshall Law School.

Kurt Bounds directs the sales and marketing functions for ISBA Mutual. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry with 15 years of selling and marketing professional liability insurance. Prior to joining ISBA Mutual, Mr. Bounds worked as the Midwest Regional Marketing Manager for Great American Insurance’s Legal Professional Liability Program. Mr. Bounds received his BA from North Central College Mr. Bounds is an active member of PLUS, (Professional Liability Underwriting Society),  North Central College’s Alumni Association and The Morton Arboretum.

Bonnie Hill joined ISBA Mutual Insurance Company in 2007. Holding an Illinois Producer license, Ms. Hill, as the Underwriting Manager, oversees the renewal business for the Company. Ms. Hill has been in Professional Liability Insurance for more than 20 years and is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Ms. Hill attended the University of Utah.
